FSM Grit Classifier

FSM Grit Classifier continuously separates grit and other heavy mineral solids from a grit-water mixture. It combines a separation tank with a dewatering screw conveyor.

In the SK design, tangential feed generates a rotating flow so heavier particles settle at the tank bottom. A screw removes and dewaters the grit while reducing its organic content.

The classifier is used at municipal treatment plants and in industry. SK and TSK configurations are available with different feed arrangements and capacities.
