HUBER Belt Dryer BT

HUBER Belt Dryer BT is used for thermal drying of pre-dewatered sludge. It is drying equipment, not mechanical dewatering equipment: the main process is evaporation of moisture from the sludge layer.

Dewatered sludge is distributed evenly on a moving perforated belt. Heated drying air passes through or around the sludge layer according to the selected arrangement, absorbs moisture and is removed by the drying-air system.

• suited to medium-temperature convective sludge drying;

• can use suitable heat sources when they match the project requirements;

• handles pre-dewatered sludge rather than producing cake by mechanical pressing.

Drying temperature, evaporation capacity, belt width, air flow and energy demand depend on the selected configuration. Final dry solids depend on inlet dry solids, target dryness, sludge properties and available heat.
