HUBER BioMem® wastewater treatment system

HUBER BioMem® wastewater treatment system combines biological treatment with membrane separation. BioMem® is a complete membrane-biological treatment system rather than a standalone VRM® module.

In the membrane bioreactor process, organic pollution is treated by activated sludge and treated water is then separated from biomass through membrane surfaces. Solids and activated sludge remain within the process volume.

• biological treatment combined with membrane filtration;

• the system can incorporate VRM® membrane equipment;

• system configuration can include tanks, membrane modules, aeration, recirculation and controls.

Membrane parameters, module area and arrangement depend on the selected system configuration.
