HUBER mechanical treatment for stormwater and combined sewer flows

HUBER mechanical treatment for stormwater and combined sewer flows retains solids at stormwater outfalls and combined sewer overflows. The equipment arrangement for this application depends on site conditions and is not limited to one machine model.

The system objective is to intercept floating, settleable and suspended matter before it reaches receiving waters or sensitive downstream structures. Depending on the site, different HUBER screen or fine-screen arrangements may be used.

• reduces discharge of screenings during rainfall events;

• protects receiving waters, pumping stations and treatment structures;

• can be adapted to an existing weir, channel or chamber.

The selected screen type, position relative to the overflow and retention target depend on hydraulic conditions, water levels and solids load.
