HUBER Sandfilter CONTIFLOW®

HUBER Sandfilter CONTIFLOW® is used for continuous deep-bed filtration with a moving sand bed. It is a polishing sand filter, not a grit washer or grit classifier.

Water passes through the sand filter bed in an upward-flow arrangement. Suspended solids are retained within the bed while clarified water leaves after passing through the filtration zone.

Contaminated sand is conveyed continuously to the internal sand washer. After the impurities are separated, the washed sand returns to the filter bed, so filtration continues without stopping the whole filter for backwashing.

Filtration rate, bed depth, hydraulic capacity and removal performance depend on the selected CONTIFLOW® variant and the quality of the water being treated.
