HUBER Sludgecleaner STRAINPRESS®

HUBER Sludgecleaner STRAINPRESS® removes coarse and fibrous contaminants from pressurised sludge flow. It is not a conventional sludge dewatering press, but an in-pipe separator that protects downstream sludge-treatment equipment.

Sludge passes through the perforated or slotted filtration zone. Retained contaminants are removed by a screw, conveyed into the pressing section and discharged in compacted form.

• removal of coarse disturbing solids from sludge;

• protection of pumps, heat exchangers, centrifuges and other downstream units;

• operation in a pressure pipe without presenting it as a universal filter press.

STRAINPRESS® perforation, material, backpressure and discharge arrangement are selected according to sludge properties and downstream treatment requirements.
