Fine and Tertiary Wastewater Filtration

After the main treatment stages, fine suspended solids may remain in the water. Fine or tertiary filtration is used to further reduce their concentration and stabilise treated-water quality.

This stage may be installed before disinfection, membrane treatment, water reuse or final discharge. Technology selection depends on required water quality, suspended-solids loading, flow rate and operating conditions.
